Yes! These supplements are gentle yet effective and can be taken on an ongoing basis.

Should I take DIM if I take other hormones (progesterone, estrogen/estradiol or testosterone)?

Because I don’t know your unique situation or medical history, you should check with your healthcare practitioner first before adding a supplement. They know your specific situation in-depth and can offer customized guidance.

But in general, let’s discuss each hormone individually.

• Progesterone: If you’re taking progesterone, you may have estrogen dominance. If so, DIM is one of the top supplements I recommend, and it’s OK to take DIM with progesterone.
• Testosterone: In some individuals, taking DIM can reduce androgens (including testosterone), so make sure to check with your doctor first.
• Estrogen: Taking DIM with estrogen is more of a risk because DIM can reduce estrogen, disrupting the hormone balance. You’ll need to discuss it with your healthcare practitioner. Together you can decide if the benefits outweigh the risks.

Should I take DIM if I have low estrogen?
